FOR HOUSE PORTRAITS
Send several photos of the building, taken from the front and from both sides, as well as a close-up of the front door. The more detail you provide, the more can be included. Don’t worry about the season the pictures are taken in; the finished art will be a spring drawing (unless you prefer another season) regardless of the time of year in the photos.
If you only have one tattered Polaroid of the building in question, copy it and send it along—Mary will work with it.
Attach a note about important items to include that may not show in photos, i.e.: a pet (include photo or breed), a flag, a porch swing.
Send a $50 deposit with your photos. Completed art will be shipped two weeks from receipt of photos and deposit.

For commemorative art—anniversaries, retirements, commendations—compile a list of important items Mary will weave into the finished art. Family names, history, hobbies, sports, pets, awards, clubs, careers, vacations, quirks and jokes…so much can be included. The only limits are the size of the art and the length of your memory. Include photos if an item cannot be drawn from a description.
